Collection: Diane McKenna
From a very young age painting was her passion. She studied throughout her childhood and adult life, ultimately earning a BA in Communications with a minor in Art from the University of North Texas. After a successful career in marketing and advertising, she decided to pursue her life-long dream of becoming a professional painter.
She began as a landscape painter influenced by Cezanne, Van Gogh and Monet. While in college, she was exposed to the work of such artists as Matisse, Pollack and Kandinsky. This influenced her to use color in and of itself, which began her movement toward abstract painting.
Inspired by the intense, powerful colors of nature, she uses color and the energy of movement in her paintings to communicate emotions.
Diane currently resides and paints in Dallas, Texas.
